  • Where is the Weaverville Police Department located?
  • The Police Department is located at 30 South Main Street on the lower level of Town Hall. 

  • How can I find out when my court date is?
  • It is written on your citation or you can contact the Buncombe County Clerk of Court at 828-259-3402.

  • Can I swim in Lake Louise
  • Swimming and boating are both prohibited in Lake Louise. 

  • Do I need a license to fish at Lake Louise
  • Yes, individuals fishing at Lake Louise must follow all rules and regulations established by the North Carolina Fish and Wildlife Commission.  If you are over age 16 you must also have a fishing permit issued by the Town.  Those under 16 must have a licensed adult with them to fish at Lake Louise. A permit is available at Town Hall between the hours of 8:30AM and 5:00 PM.  For more information about this permit, please click here. 

  • A Weaverville Police Officer impounded my car, how do I get it released
  • If it is available for release, you must go to the Weaverville Police Department with picture identification (government issued), proof of ownership and proof of insurance. Once you provide all of this, if it can be released you will be given a signed release form which you will take to the wrecker service for release.

  • I need to be fingerprinted for my job, does Weaverville Police do this?
  • No, you will need to go to the Buncombe County Detention facility for this service.

  • Does the Weaverville Police Department unlock car doors if I have locked my keys inside?
  • No

  • I have received a parking ticket or other Town Ordinance Violation ticket and I must pay a fine, where do I go to pay the fines?
  • All Town of Weaverville parking or other Town Ordinance violations must be paid either by arriving in person at the Weaverville Town Hall, or by mailing a copy of the ticket along with a money order, personal check or certified check to – Town of Weaverville, Post Office Box 338 Weaverville, NC 28787. If you have received a North Carolina Uniform Citation, you must follow the directions as written on the face of that citation

  • How do I get a copy of my accident or incident report?
  • You may pick up your report in person at the Weaverville Police Department Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8:30a – 12 noon  & 1:00pm -5:00pm, or you may send a self-addressed stamped envelope to, Weaverville Police Department Post Office Box 338, Weaverville, NC 28787. The Weaverville Police Department does not fax or e-mail reports.
