NOTICE OF SPECIAL CALLED MEETING

In Accordance with NCGS § 160A-71 and §143-318.12

 

               NOTICE is hereby given that the Weaverville Town Council has called a Special Called Meeting as follows:

 

Meeting Date:               Monday, February 6, 2017

Meeting Time:              5:30 p.m.

Meeting Location:      Fire Department Training Room, 3 Monticello Road, Weaverville, NC 28787

 

Meeting Purposes:    

 

1.     Budget Workshop

·       Preliminary Tax Valuation Figures

·       Retiree Health Insurance

·       Lake Louise Community Center

·       Other Items

 

2.     Closed Session – As allowed by NCGS 143-318.11(a)(3) to consult with an attorney employed or retained by the public body in order to preserve the attorney-client privilege between the attorney and the public body, which privilege is hereby acknowledged and to consider and give instructions to an attorney concerning the handling or settlement of the following judicial action: Mayfair Partners, LLC, Petitioner, versus Town of Weaverville, Michael Watkins, Thomas Plaut and Marian Plaut, James Proffitt and Sharon Proffitt, Thomas Veasey and Sara Veasey, Lake Louise Preservation Association, and Conley Hyer; Buncombe County File 17-CV-246.

A special called meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 5:45 within Council Chambers at Town Hall for the purpose of reviewing two applications eligible to be considered and to continue discussing the proposed table of uses and related proposed revisions of ordinance. Action may be taken.

Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting

The Town of Weaverville Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold it's next rugularly scheduled meeting on Monday, February 13, 2017. The meeting will be held within Council Chambers at Town Hall and will begin at 7:00pm.
