The Weaverville-Buncombe 9/11 Observance with be held on Friday September 11th at 12:00 noon at Lake Louise in Weaverville. We wish to recognize and honor those who have and continue to protect & serve us every day.
Participants will include the Reuter Center Singers, The Asheville Fire Department Pipe & Drum band, Boy Scout Troop 15, VFW Post 5483 from Mars Hill; and remarks from Chaplain, Colonel Richard Johnson, USAF (Retired).
The event is open to the public and we would welcome your attendance.

The ninth annual Art in Autumn Outdoor Arts and Crafts Festival takes place Saturday, September 19, 2015, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Weaverville, North Carolina, located in Buncombe county 7 miles from downtown Asheville.
The festival features 114 juried artists and craftspeople, as well as food and live music. Artists will be juried by our esteemed judge to receive awards of $1000 for best of show, $500 for second place, and $300 for third, as well as 4 $50 honorable mentions.
Weaverville has established itself as a culturally rich destination point, with its’ now well-established street festival each September. It has earned a reputation for its’ quaint atmosphere, artistic spirit, and distinctive shops and restaurants. The annual Art in Autumn festival brings a jovial celebration of community and fine art and craft to the Main Street of this lovely small town. All are welcome. Admission and parking are free.
