Militia Muster and Encampment at Vance Birthplace
Saturday, 10 am – 4 pm
Sunday, 1 pm – 4 pm
Step back in time to the early years of our country's history, when citizens banded together to form local militias to protect their lives and property. Periodically, officers would call a muster, a gathering of the members for training. During this Living History Weekend, experience life in the muster camp, see drill routines, and talk to reenactors about life in the militia. Admission is free, and open to the public.
